Updating an outdated panel

Here is a typical 16 circuit 100 amp panel  installed in the late 1980s. It is now outdated and overloaded. This is one of the 4 main reasons older homes have a significantly higher incidence of fire. The good new is this is also easily corrected. Homeowner should plan on updating their panels ever 20 to 30 years.

Here is the same home with an updated panel. There are no double tapped circuit breaker any more. There is extra room for future circuit. The circuit breaker are new and not likely to jam or fail like the older breakers.

This update will increase the homes general safety. An electricians goal is to prevent problem before they occurs. Keeping your safety equipment current is a big help. GEN3electric want to see all our client avoid safety issues.
