Install a Transfer Switch

With the increase of severe weather leading to power outages,
many homeowners have chosen to invest in a generator.
Portable generators are much more affordable than larger, fixed generators
and all you need to do is have your electrician professionally install a
manual transfer switch for you. (pictures on the left)
Now you are ready for the next power outage!

A transfer switch is the key to safe and convenient operation of portable generators for backup power. A manual transfer switch isolates those circuits using generator power during an outage, and eliminates the risk of back feeding the electrical utility which can cause injury to utility workers and property damage. Using a transfer switch for backup power also eliminates the need to run extension cords around the home or office to operate certain appliances.

Earthday & EV cars - Philadelphia

Forbes Article

Saw this on earth day in Forbes. It really is worth a quick read. Who would have  thought your ipad only cost $1.50 to power all year. We shared this info with all our GEN3 electricians. Knowing what is costing you money is the first step in saving. It was cool to find out how much energy an electric car saves you. We just installed a street charger for one last week.

Why Ceiling Fans Fall Down

Dangerous Ceiling Fan installed in Philadelphia
Cheaper is not always better
This is an accident waiting to happen!  Only the ceiling tile is holding the full weight of the ceiling fan.  This may work for a short time, but it could really hurt someone.  This is why you should hire a licensed, insured electrician.
