LED Lighting is starting to make it's way in to our everyday lives. Here is a picture of a Starbucks that switched all the lights in their track lights to LEDs. The light they give off is perfect for this application. The color is a little whiter then incandescent light bulbs. The light beam is more focused and direct. If you look at the painting in the back corner you can see the effect of the color and direction of the light bulb. The LED bulbs have an added benefit in the summer. They do not add as much heat to the rooms as you standard bulbs.
This is a great idea. What's really amazing is that you got it to work so well with so little hardware. I will be watching your progress on this closely.
