Name: Robert Gonzales
Question:
2 years ago i added a outlet off a outdoor light, all I did wire the outlet to the wires as they split off to the light. I moved the light replacing the line running from the split off to the outlet. As soon as i turn on the power the breaker flips. I diconneted the outlet no problem with breaker now. Replaced the outlet checked for any wire problems or connections problems nothing, hook back up breaker flip. Nothing is plugged in to outlet, could my breaker be bad? OR??
Answer:
Hi Robert,
You either have a problem with the outlet or the wire. I think you may find a crack in the wire that is making contact with something as you push the outlet back into the box.
